Hey there! I’m Patrick.
Originally from Nova Friburgo, Brazil, I spent my childhood moving between Brazil and Portugal. My passion for aviation was sparked on a rainy morning in Lisbon. As our plane rolled toward the gate, I looked out the window and saw a crew crossing the rain-soaked tarmac. They were headed toward a towering 747. Something about that moment - the rain, the movement, the sheer scale of the aircraft compared to the people walking toward it was so striking that I knew, in that instant, I wanted to fly.
At just 17, I started my career as a commercial pilot in executive aviation, flying professionally for five incredible years. During this time, I was involved in a startup that specialized in buying planes in the U.S. and selling them in Brazil. I sold a plane, participated in two other transactions, and started managing Cirrus SR22 aircraft. This experience gave me my first glimpse into business operations, ownership logistics, and aircraft management, sparking my curiosity about finance. That curiosity eventually led me to Goldman Sachs, where I dove deep into corporate finance and liquidity management.
Today, I combine my experiences in aviation and finance with a newfound passion for technology, coding with Python, R, and financial modeling.
